2. Scope and purpose of the collection, storage and processing of personal data

a) Visiting our website

When you visit our website http://www.elbelifescience.com/, the internet browser automatically sends data to the server on this website and saves it in a logfile for a limited time. Until the automatic deletion, the following data is stored without further input from the visitor:

  • IP address of the visitor's terminal
  • date and time of access by the visitor,
  • name and URL of the page visited by the visitor,
  • website from which the visitor reaches the firm website (so-called referrer URL),
  • browser and operating system of the visitor's terminal and the name of the access provider used by the user.

We have a legitimate interest in the processing of data for the purpose to

  • establish a rapid connection to our website,
  • to enable a user-friendly application of the website,
  • to identify and guarantee the safety and stability of the systems and to ensure
  • facilitate and improve the administration of the website.

The processing of these personal data is justified in accordance with Art. 6 subs. 1 s. 1 lit. f General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our legitimate interest is listed above. The processing is expressly not for the purpose of gaining knowledge about the person of the visitor of the website.

b) Using contact form

Visitors can submit messages to the firm via an online contact form on the website. In order to receive a response, it is necessary to specify a valid e-mail address at least. All other information may be provided voluntarily by the requesting person. By sending the message via the contact form, the visitor agrees to the processing of the transmitted personal data. The data is processed exclusively for the purpose of processing and answering inquiries via the contact form. This is done on the basis of the voluntarily granted consent according to article 6 (1) sentence 1. a) GDPR. The personal data collected for the use of the contact form will be automatically deleted as soon as the request has been completed and there are no reasons for further storage. 3. Transferring data

Personal data will not be transferred to third parties as long as for the following purposes:

Personal data will only be transmitted to third parties, if 

  • you have explicitly agreed in accordance with article 6 (1), first sentence a) GDPR;
  • the disclosure in accordance with article 6 (1), first sentence f) GDPR is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims and there is no reason to believe that the person concerned has an overriding interest in the non-disclosure of their data,
  • for the transfer of data in accordance with article 6 (1), first sentence c) GDPR a legal obligation and/or
  • this in accordance with article 6 (1), first sentence b) GDPR, whereafter it is necessary for the fulfilment of a contractual relationship with the person concerned;
  • the processing is necessary in order to protect the vital interests of the data subject or of another natural person in accordance with article 6 (1), first sentence d);
  • the processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller in accordance with article 6 (1), first sentence e). 

 

4. Cookies 

So-called cookies are used by visiting our website. These are small data packages which are automatically generated by your browser and which are saved by the devices used (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) if you visit our website. In this respect, cookies can not cause damage to the devices used. In particular, they do not contain viruses or other malicious software. The cookies are used to store information that is related to the specific device used. This does not mean that we are able to directly get knowledge of your identity.

The use of cookies serves to make the use of the website of the firm more comfortable. For example, session cookies can be used to determine whether the visitor has already visited individual pages of the website. After leaving the website, these session cookies are automatically deleted.

5. Analyzing tools

a) Tracking Tools

In accordance to Art. 6 sub. 1, s. 1 lit f. GDPR we are using the following analyzing tools. We are using tracking tools to optimize our website, for statistically reasons and to improve our offer. We have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior.

b) Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (see Nr. 4 before). These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allows an analysis of the use of the website by you. 

The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google uses this information on our behalf to analyze your use of this website in order to compile reports on website activities, for market research and provide additional services related to website and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties as required by law or if said third parties process this data on behalf of Google. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. We have a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymization

Your IP address may be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google uses this information on our behalf to analyze your use of this website in order to compile reports on website activities, for market research and provide additional services related to website and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties as required by law or if said third parties process this data on behalf of Google. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

c) Google Adwords Conversion Tracking

For statistically issues and to improve our website we are using Google Conversion Tracking. For this purpose Google uses so-called “cookies” (see Nr. 4 before). If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Adwords stores a cookie on your device. These cookies usually expire after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. There are used to enable Google to recognize your browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Adwords customer's website and the cookie stored on their device has not expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to this page.

Each Adwords customer has its own different cookie. Therefore the cookies can´t be traced via the website of the Adwords customer. The information from these cookies are used for statistical evaluation for Adwords customers, for example the information about the number of visitors of the website and if they has been redirected to this website. We do not get any information to identify the user of the website.

6. Your rights

You have the following rights with respect to the personal data concerning you:

- Pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR, you have the right to demand information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request information on the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been disclosed, the planned retention period, the right to rectification, deletion, limitation of processing or opposition, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the source of the data, if not collected from us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information about the respective details;

- Pursuant to Art. 16 GDPR, you have the right to demand the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us immediately;

- Pursuant to Art. 17 GDPR, you have the right to demand the deletion of your personal data stored by us, except where the processing is required for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims is;

- Pursuant to Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to demand the restriction of processing of your personal data, as far as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you decline its deletion, and we no longer need the data, but you need it to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or you have objected to processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;

- Pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to obtain your personal data provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer of the data to another controller;

- Pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR, you have the right to revoke consent you have previously granted to us at any time. As a result of your exercise of this right, we are not allowed to continue the data processing based on this consent for the future and

- Pursuant to Art. 77 GDPR, you also have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data by us to a data protection supervisory authority.

 

7. Revocation of consent

 

You have the right to revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future according to Art. 6 Subs. 1 s.1 lit. f GDPR and to Art. 21 GDPR. The revocation of the consent can be communicated by phone, by e-mail info@elbelifescience.com or to our postal address informal.

 

The revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the data processing which has taken place on the basis of the consent until receipt of the revocation. Upon receipt of the revocation, the data processing, which was based solely on your consent, is set.

 

8. Data security

We use the popular SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method within you visit our site, in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. In general, this is 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, we will use 128-bit v3 technology instead. Whether a particular page of our website is encrypted is shown with the symbol of the closed key or lock icon in the lower status bar of your browser.

 

We also take appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or total loss, destruction or against unauthorised access by third parties.
